In this quick and simple tutorial, I will show you how to correct eyes that have become hooded with age. Some people are born with hooded eyes and that’s a very pretty shape and should be embraced in my opinion.
This tutorial is for older women, like me, who’s upper eye lids have become lower over time.
Using a beginner level makeup technique, I will show you how to get a more lifted and rested appearance. Being over 60 myself, I have first-hand experience with hooded eyes that sometimes make me look more tired than I feel!

Finally! I found an age appropriate video! You are beautiful, easy to listen to and show everything you are doing in a bright and easy to see manner. Thank you for your wonderful videos! I'm a 65 yr old and haven't applied make up in years due to the sagging, hooded eyes from aging and the fact that I can't see easily without glasses. I'm attending an event soon and need to figure out how to do the right make up for my hooded eyes. I'm still practicing your techniques but I'm confident. My problem is having to see clearly without my specs and no mirror I have found seems to be magnified enough. I suppose there's nothing you can do about that LOL. However, I do love how you make it seem so simple so that I don't need to do everything so precisely. Except for the lashes, which has proven challenging. Good thing I decided to start practicing early.
Nope. She’s had surgery.
Music is so distracting.
Hi Kerry-Lou. For about a year, or more, I've been giving some thought to having eyelid and below the eye, plastic surgery to open my eyes up better, Your technique seems to work very well. There's a marked difference between one eye and the other, without using a ton of make-up. I've never been the type to wear visible make-up however I made the big mistake yesterday to have a close look at my facial skin. I put a large magnifying glass in the bathroom and was horribly surprised to see all the imperfection and wrinkles. I've lost about 50 to 60 lbs in the past year. Not by choice, It's done a real number on the elasticity of my skin. It just hangs there. I'm 68 yrs. old but like any other woman I like to look a bit younger. People say that I do. In my opinion the more make-up an elderly woman uses the older she looks, so I go easy on it. Rather than looking further into surgery (I've had two consultations already), I want to try your method first. The other day I bought false eyelashes, first time ever. I don't even know if I can manage to put them on. My own eyelashes are still pretty long but are hidden under the lid. The ones I bought are not long but they are denser than my own and I'm hoping to add some volume rather than length. I figured I can even cut them shorter if I think they are too long. I don't want the "butterfly effect"!
My hair has gone from gray to white, which isn't a bad look but it definitely calls attention away from the face and makes me look sallow. I don't want to start messing around with hair color either, so I do have to use a bit of make-up. I wear mine a tiny bit longer than yours and really like not having to fuss with it,
Those are my problems for today but I'd like to add that you are a beautiful woman.
Droopy eyes have always been a problem for me, even when I was young. With age, it has gotten worse but I think this technique will work for me.
Beautiful!
thank you for being specific in words
Fantástico Kerry-Lou!!!!! Gracias por subirlo.
Saludos desde España.
Just found your channel great video
That lipsticj looks fantastic on you.
Nice, short, and informative! I will try for sure. Still looking, though, for advice on lower eyeliner. My makeup always ends up under my eye, even though I use primer and setting powder on the both the top and bottom before applying the eyeliner. Any suggestions?
Incredible and perfect tutorial
I think you look great. This technique is perfectly subtle.
perfect lady you are!
Thanks
It's not fair how good your skin looks Lady! I wish I didn't sun bathe when I was in my early twenties! How do you temporarily smooth or fill wrinkles before applying makeup?
Wow, what a lovely LADY 🥰
Thank-you kindly for being a lady. You seem to be gentle and kind. You are well-spoken, clear and informative. It is refreshing to watch a video without foul language. Thank-you kindly ❤️❤️❤️. I look forward to more.
I am just 30 years old and already hooded eyes ,
I would have liked to have seen this done on your right eye that's more hooded.
Great video lovely music
Hooded eye girl here, thank you.
Wow. What a difference. I’m going to try this tomorrow morning.
Perfect! That is exactly how I do my very hooded eyes, and it does have the desired affect. I was happy to see someone showing us how to do this who actually IS a bit older instead of a 20 yr old model whose skin is nothing like skin 50+ yrs old. I'm 71 now (older than you I'm sure) so I appreciate seeing results like this.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you.
Fabulous! You are so beautiful!!!
The presenter’s right eye seems considerably naturally more hooded than then left. If she had demonstrated with her right eyes it’d be more convincing.
Plastic surgery just to the eyelids to remove crepeyness is not that expensive – $4,000. I noticed that it alone makes you look younger.
Love the tips and the results! Beautiful and natural-looking!
You are a beautiful woman, I’ll try your way, is been years since I apply make up , I used to love to do my eyes and I did them beautifully, I’m now 71 also with short gray hear, thank you ☺️
Nice to see a hooded eye makeup tutorial made by someone who really has hooded eyes! 🙂
Though, for the purpose of this video, it would have been more useful to do the makeup for your right eye, since it seems to be more droopy than the left one…
The model’s right eyes appears naturally more hooded and putting a make up on the left eyes than the left; this gives more dramatic look. I’d love to see the model do her right eye make up so that we can see the REAL difference
Wonderful thanks for that.
What a lovely lady and the eye make up was perfect and really makes a difference. Thank you
The one who have hooded eyes and did the real makeover. Amazing makeover
WHT KIND OF MAKEUP REMOVER DO YOU USE ?
I have hooded eyes and I hate makeup. Your tutorial is helpful and you don't chirp at us like the kids on here. Lol thanks for doing your thing in front of us. I might learn makeup yet….
Beautiful! Thank you fir giving us “mature” women some great techniques!!!!
Thanks dear
Hi @Kerry-Lou, thank you for this tutorial! It's so helpful! I love your message about looking funky in your 60s. You rock it. Question, I can't find the Lancome eyeshadow in Moccachino. Looks like it's discontinued. Do you have another recommendation instead?
wonderful video. Subscribed! I've really struggled with natural looking makeup, I'm now 55. Thank you 🙂
That You! So professional.
Love this video, it’s so helpful! I’m looking forward to trying out the technique. I tried to find the Lancôme shadow in Mochaccino, but I can’t find it online. Is there another shadow you’d recommend for the crease? Thank you so much.
This is so pretty and simple! 🥰 I sent this to my mum, she struggles with eye makeup and has quite hooded lids
Well done
Thank you so much !!!! Finally I see quick make up for REALLY hooded eyes . ❤ you look absolutely beautiful
!!!!!!!
looks like mochaccino is no longer available.
Fabulous!!!! Would love to have her do my eyes 🤗🤗🤗
Perfect … so easy to follow your instructions!! Thank you much!
